Celebrate......

Good evening my lovely Crafters.  What a gorgeous sunny day we’ve had....spring is just around the corner for sure.
Today, I’d like to take you step by step in making this wonderful creation.

You will need white 7x7 card base. Oxide inks, distress inks (black). Embossing powder and versamark ink pad. Flower and flourish stamp.  On this card I’ve used Honey Doo Crafts stamp “Flower Power”.

Starting with a white card base 7x7, stamp using black distress ink the flourish. Then over stamp using coloured Oxide inks with the medium and small flower stamp.
On clear vellum with versamark ink pad, stamp 6 large flowers, 3 medium and 3 small. Add a sprinkle of embossing powder over the versamark and shake off the excess powder. Heat to set with your craft gun.  On vellum be sure you don’t over heat the powder as this could crack.

Now with a cup of coffee to hand - crafting can be thirsty work - fussy cut the flowers. Now the technical elements and using a wooden kebab stick - clean of course - curl the petals of each cut flower. Using a good quality clear drying paper craft glue, stick 2 cut flower images together and for a fuller flower, use 3 layers. Alternate each layer slightly. Leave to dry.

Using nesting dies - squares, circles or the rectangles as seen in this sample will work. Die cut a larger die with coloured mirror card and using 2 sizes smaller, but big enough for your sentiment, die cut in white card. Stamp your sentiment onto the white card. Using either double tape or foam pads, fix this to the mirror card. And using foam pads, fix the mirror card to the stamped card base.

Decorate by adding the flowers, I’ve arranged a group of 3 at the bottom left, and another group of 2 in the top right.
I’ve added some small gems to the flower centres of the stamped images on the card base.
Here’s a collective step by step view of how I made this card.

I hope you enjoy making this card, please leave feedback and comments.
Thank you for spending time at my blog and I hope to see you back real soon.

Flowers to Dye for.......

Good morning.  What a wet day we are having here in Bedfordshire, UK. How do I cheer myself up..... let’s make some flowers!

Starting with A4 sheets of paper, stamp each sheet with your selected flower images. I used Versafine black ink pad and then Heat set using a craft heat gun. This will prevent the ink smudging.
Taking each sheet I Distress inked the entire sheet.... you can of course colour with your favourite pens and pencils. If using inks, leave to dry.
Take some time to fussy cut the images.......it will be worth it in the end. Snip until your hearts content.
Shaping your flowers......
I use a wood kebab stick to curl the petals, or flip over onto a flat surface and lightly spritz the back with water, then scrunch and shape and leave to dry.

Making the flower.....
I use 3 flower images to make one flower. Use a clear drying Craft glue, or even a brad to hold them together.
Add a gem as the centre or stamen ..... and you now have lots of lovely ready to go flowers for your dreamy creations.

Thanks for popping by, please leave a comment or ask any questions.
Hope to see you again real soon
